The Futures Academy program is offered as a supplement to regular recreational soccer play in Sterling for boys and girls with birth years U5-U8 who seek a more competitive and challenging training environment.  The Futures Academy also provides a pathway to the competitive travel program that begins at U9.  The technical program is designed to help young players learn the basic skills and fundamentals of the sport.

The Spring 2023 program will offer a total of nine (9) weekly Friday training sessions. For U8 and select U7 boys and girls there will be approximately four (4) scrimmages with local clubs. on Saturdays (late afternoon) and Sundays.

Cost is $140 per player.

9 FRIDAY evening outdoor sessions - technical training and small-sided games

This spring, have your player improve their soccer game by taking advantage of our specialized technical skills training, offering sessions in speed, agility, quickness, and agility.

SAQR (aka Speed, Agility, Quickness, and Reaction) incorporated with Ball mastery is a must for all young soccer players to increase the level of athleticism in order to become faster, quicker, more proactive and a quicker decision maker while improving their confidence with the ball!

The SAQR + Ball Mastery clinics will be primarily coached by coach Parsa, founder of FuturElitez Soccer, who along with his team will be joining Sterling Soccer to help our players with skill development. 

Cost is $140 per player.

We are introducing a new program for our players! Sterling Soccer is adding a training session for those players who want to improve their shooting and ball finishing skills. Sign up now to get a leg up on the competition!

During the shooting/finishing clinics, players will learn different ways to score more goals by learning different techniques (positioning of the body, what part of the foot striking the ball, the types of first touches to have for different types of shots etc.) 

For the first 10 minutes of each session, players will warm up to prepare for high-intensity sessions. This will make sure each session is as effective as possible!

The Spring Goalkeeper Program is for players of all levels (beginner to travel) and will place emphasis on age-appropriate instruction where players are placed into groups of similar age and ability.

Our Spring 2023 Goalkeeper Program will provide an opportunity for goalkeepers of all levels and ages to explore and learn the skills necessary to succeed at this challenging and unique position. Keepers will have a chance to develop new skills while building on and refining the knowledge they already have. 

Each session will focus on the basics of footwork and handling before moving into the topic of the day. Sessions will finish with a variety of game-like activities shooting and distribution activities. Throughout the sessions, coaches will focus on passing and receiving, footwork, diving, crosses, 1v1's and distribution. 

Coaches will take time to provide activities which correlate to real game scenarios and allow the players to build their confidence through repetition, observation and discussion. We all look forward to helping our goalkeepers take the next step in their respective games!

Cost is $50 for current Sterling Soccer Club members (for either Session 1 or Session 2) *
