Sterling Soccer's competitive coaching focuses on skill development in the early years and tactical abilities in the later years. And while winning is always our coaches’ game objective, skill development of our players is our primary focus.
MISSION
Our goal is to develop each player and to ensure each player improves from year to year. Our mission is to provide advanced development through a competitive game and team training environment.
Player development takes place through elevated commitment and competition. Each age group has several teams allowing a player to grow and progress to higher levels. Equal development opportunities are provided to every player on every team regardless of entitlement level.
NCSL LEAGUE
Sterling Soccer offers opportunities to play in the NCSL league. The National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) is the DC Metro area's premier promotion-relegation soccer league, serving approximately 30,000 travel soccer players every year representing many of the most successful clubs in the nation.
TEAM SELECTION
Selection is through the tryout process only. All players must try out annually and are encouraged to try out for the travel program. Our coaches will place players at the appropriate level within the program.
There are numerous tryout opportunities per year - Team availability is only guaranteed at the tryouts. All interested candidates should contact our travel coordinator for details prior to attending.
Team creation is based upon the quantity and quality of player candidates. Player selection and placement are based upon ability. Teams are formed at the discretion of the Sterling SoccerTechnical Staff.
