Practices:
U11 to U19 boys and girls teams practices twice per week at Paul Hencken Fields (Potomack Sportsplex) or Algonkian Elementary in Sterling. (additional fields may be added depending on season).

Games:
U11 to U19 teams generally play about 8 regular-season games.

Games are held on the weekends - home games are at Hencken fields or Algonkian Elementary. Away games are at the opponents' fields.

Coaches:
Teams are coached by volunteer head coaches and volunteer assistant coaches. Parent volunteers are encouraged for assisting as team managers and parent liaisons.

Extra Training:
Supplemental skills training by our professional staff is available for those players who would like to enhance their soccer skills as well. Please check our website for updates.

LEAGUES

NCSL (National Capitol Soccer League) Recreation League:
Our rising U11 boys' and girls' recreation teams participate in the NCSL Recreation league for club matches with other Northern VA and DC clubs. 

During the spring and fall seasons, the NCSL will provide scheduling services to over 520 teams representing almost 25 different clubs. The league will divide its leagues into two divisions.  Adjustments to the teams assigned to the two divisions are made at the end of each season, based on win/loss records, to assure that there is a level of parity for competitive games the following season.

Program details
 

• U11-U12 game format is 9v9
• U13-U19 game format is 11v11
• Coached by a volunteer head coach with assistant coaches
• Two 90 minutes practices per week (days selected by the coach)
• Practice times are 5:30 pm-7:00 pm or 7:00 pm-8:30 pm
• Games are on the weekend (NCLS REC league games)
• The first week of practices March 24
• First games: Saturday, April 5
• Last games: Saturday, June 14
• Picture Day: Saturday, April 26

• Sterling Soccer Uniform
• Size 4 soccer balls (U11-U12)
• Size 5 soccer balls (U13 and up)
• Shin guards
• Soccer cleats (no baseball or football cleats)
• Water bottle
• Hand sanitizer

registration information

Multiple Children Discount
First child is full price, but all other children receive a $10 discount off the registration fee*
*All players of the same family must register at the same time in order to receive multi-family discount
*Only applies to immediate family members with the same parents/guardians living at same address

Financial Aid Information
Sterling Soccer Club offers a discount off the above fees for players qualifying for free or reduced lunch at their public school or with similar proof of financial hardship from a government agency. To apply for this aid, as part of this form, you will be asked to email a copy of a letter or other documents demonstrating your financial support status.

Once you email the child's name and documents, then we will process the financial assistance and send you the financial assistance discount code and the link to register.

Uniforms for new U11 to U19 players are to be purchased at the Sterling Soccer retail store located at 47100 Community Plaza, Suite 128, Sterling, VA 20164.

Uniform Numbers
The club administrator assigns numbers for each age group and team. Numbers cannot be requested.
